Pollution Responder Board Practice Test

Session length

1 / 20

What happens if you don’t hear back from a Letter of Warning?

It is considered accepted if you hear nothing back.

Silence after receiving a Letter of Warning is treated as acceptance because regulatory notices rely on a clear, time-bound opportunity to respond. If you don’t contest the findings in the allotted period, the agency records the warning as in effect, so the warning stands and can be enforced if you have future violations. If you disagree, you would pursue the formal appeal process within the specified timeframe, not rely on not replying. The idea behind these rules is to move enforcement forward efficiently while still giving you a chance to respond or contest, rather than leaving the notice in limbo.

You must reissue the notice within 15 days.

The warning is void and must be reissued.

You must file an appeal with the regulatory agency
